Richard, I am becoming schizophrenic. Since I am part of EcolocityDC and Transition Maryland (Greenbelt), I have trouble keeping track of who I have spoken with on each. Maybe you want to JOIN Transition MD and then join the Transition Greenbelt "group", since that is where the EVENTS will be listed.

Our next MEETING (Steering Group) is on Aug 26 . . .and our next EVENT(movie night) is on Aug 27. Which one do you want to attend?

Again, it would be great if you would join Transition Greenbelt, so we can continue this dialogue there instead.

Thanks, LORE

Hi Richard, do you know about Transition MD? We have a Transition Greenbelt Group! There are only about 6 NING members so far, but we have over 70 people who have attended meetings. Check out http://transitionmaryland.ning.com/group/transitiongreenbelt

Hi Richard, thanks for joining us and honoring us with your presence. Feel free to customize your page, post questions, thoughts, articles, photos, videos, add cool apps, make friends, message privately, join or create groups that reflect your interests.

We look forward to your participation in anchoring our vision with your energy and expertise as we seek to live more sustainably and equitably. We plan a wide range of programs and your input will be welcome.

We meet WEEKLY due to the enormity of the challenges and the urgency needed to address the issues that face us - Tuesdays 7 pm at Emergence Community Arts Collective, 733 Euclid Street NW, WDC 20001. We've been following a schedule something like this:
1st week - Food & Farming
2nd week - Transition
3rd week - Film
4th week - Community Building: Planning & Networking
5th week when there's one - Special guest
but any can be trumped by urgent matters arising. For example, we devoted the first meeting in 2009 to building the infrastructure for an alternative local economy based on time banks and/or local currency, such as Anacostia Hours in circulation in Mount Rainier, and we've met at Takoma Village Cohousing for a presentation. See the Events calendar to save dates of what interests you.
